Bjorn, just bought your yeti videos. I’m off to China to help a studio out using yeti. Do you know if the videos are streamed or can I download them, I wasn’t sure how the gumroad worked. I see there on my phone now but when I get to China, where youtube is banned, I was hoping to have access to them.
Thanks so much, I look forward to absorbing the info.
Hi Chris, thanks for the support.
They are streaming via Gumroad, so they should work in China, but if they don’t please send me an email and I will see what I can do.
Hi chris, all tutorials are available to download now!
Hey Bjorn,
I was wondering if you’ll be doing a facial rigging tutorial like Swiftsweet. I would really to purchase this tutorial.
Hi Ben,
Tanks for the heads up. I appreciate the request.
I will take it into consideration for my next release.
Like your YETI tutorials
Hi Bjørn, I was wondering if you provide tutoring services. We are learning how to use Yeti in the studio I work in. We are trying to animate it by animating the curves. Unfortunately, when we do the render it seems as if there was a strong wind (the hair is calculated differently each frame).
Thanks.
Hi Alfonso, unfortunately I do not provide any one on one tutoring for Yeti, I do hope that you are able to find solutions to any problems that you may run into. From the sound of it I would guess that you are having problems with the fur colliding with the geometry and freaking out because of it. Try to turn off collisions real quick and see if that is the reason to your problem.
Thank you, we will try that 🙂
Hi i had a project Xgen at company and i bring it go home continues my job.
Even though i copy and paste exactly drive letter path project, then open .mb file i can’t see the xgen available like i did at company computer when open project again each turn on PC
, start maya.
I’m trying import .xgen to get some guide xgen. But it’s error warning “Import operation failed”. Then i can’t get any guide of xgen.
How i can fix it ?
Thanks !
You need to either export the groom along with all maps and the xgen folder, or make sure that your home computer has access to the same drive. Then with the same drive, you need to set the maya project path to the same as on the work computer.
HI Bjorn, I bought your face rig tutorial and its super awesome. I would really like to learn about rigging, dynamic, cloth simulation from you. Do you anywhere give online classes or have tutorials on this? if not please start teaching so we can take advantage from it. Thanks alot
Hi Murtaza, thank you for your support. I am not currently giving official online classes, but I appreciate the trust in my teaching skills. Maybe I can get around to creating a few videos soon with cloth.

Hi Billy, thank you for your comment. While I was briefly working on it I don’t think It was enough that it warrants any autograph from me.
I wish you the best of luck in your search, we were 300+ working on it at ilm at the time, so you should be able to find someone who did more work on it no problem.
Bjørn
Dear Bjorn Blaabbjerg
Can you give us an Idea on how to write Yeti cache on render farm(deadline) as it is taking too much time for each node i have 3 nodes to be cached so if i launch the cache in farm than in local it will be fast compared to local cacheing.
I would appreciate if you have any solution for Yeti cacheing in farm.
Thanks
Vipin Atre
Hi, I do not have much experience with farm writing, it depends on the farm setup.
I suggest that you contact yeti support directly as they may be able to guide you more effectively.
Bjørn
